Reset a Movband

In the event that you were provided a MOVband that was used in a previous term, you will need to reset the account associated with the device.  The directions below are the steps necessary to complete this process.  If you continue to encounter issues, please contact your instructor.

Image result for Movband syncStep 1: Obtain the Movband Serial Number

To obtain the serial number, connect your Movband to the computer with the Movband Sync software running. If you have not downloaded Movband Sync please follow the directions on this webpage: http://www.movable.com/hello-movband2/

 

Windows Directions: Make sure that the Movband is connected to your computer. Right click on the Movband arrow icon in the system tray in the lower right corner of the screen and select "Check for updates" in the menu that appears. You may need to expand the system tray to locate the icon as Windows often hides many of these icons.

 

Mac Directions: Make sure that the Movband is connected to your computer. Locate the Movband arrow icon in the taskbar at the top of your screen in the upper right corner. Click on the Movband arrow icon and select "About Movband SYNC" from the menu that appears.

Step 2:  Copy Serial Number

The pop up window that is generated from these steps above will contain the serial number of your Movband.  Click on Copy Serial Number.  This will copy the number the number and allow you to paste it directly into an email.

 

Step 3: Send Reset Request to Movband Manufacturer

Send an email to info@dhsgroup.com.  Be sure to include the serial number for the device. DHS will reset the device.  Once you receive the reply that the Movband has been reset, you can register the device with your Movband account.
